Multi-disciplinary Brand Designer.

We’re searching for a brand unicorn, experienced in graphic design/art direction who can demonstrate their ability to translate brand strategy into visual identities, art direction for photo/video, campaign concepts, collateral, packaging, website UI, etc. Candidates should be familiar with the full branding process from conceptual design to execution.

Tasks include: 

  • Translate strategy into moodboards, visual brand concepts (selection of color palettes, typography, graphic treatments, etc.), and tone of voice direction (using AI as both a thought partner and efficiency tool).

  • Understanding of the combination and use of color, shapes, imagery and typography, and how they impact consumer behavior.

  • Strong command of Adobe Suite and industry-wide programs.

  • Ensuring feedback from clients is applied to creative rounds before it is sent to client.

  • Communication with client via Slack, email and phone for feedback and deliverables.

  • Familiarity with AI-generated photo/video platforms are a BIG plus.

  • Demonstrated experience utilizing GPTs as concept, visual design and copywriting partners.

  • Creatively curious - you have a healthy obsession with brand building, and pay attention to new and innovative ways to activate BOLD brands into immersive experiences (online and offline).

  • Startup hustle - we are not the Navy, we’re more like a pirate ship - scrappy and nimble with our own unique code. We are always in build-learn-iterate-improve mode and need someone who is equally enthusiastic about rolling their sleeves up, refining systems, and creating scaleable/repeatable processes.

  • Bachelor’s degree or work experience equivalent required.

  • Previous experience in art direction and design for brands is required.

  • Previous experience in a small agency and/or startup environment is preferred. 

  • Experience with UI and designing templated websites is required.

  • Proficient with creative process, branding terminology, and startup culture is a huge plus.

  • Google Suite (Meets, Docs, Sheets, Calendars)

  • ChatGPT Pro

  • Dall-E or MidJourney

Pay Rate: $50 -$65 per hour

*This is a freelance, contract position with complete flexibility in working hours. Opportunity for salaried position available after a trial period (for the right candidate).
